This Privacy Policy describes how Trick Questions and Answers ("we", "us", or "our") collects, uses, and shares information about you when you use our mobile application.

If you sign in with Google, we collect your display name, email address, and profile photo from your Google account. If you play as a guest, no personal information is collected — you are identified only by an anonymous ID.

b) Game Data

We collect and store the following gameplay data to power your profile, leaderboard ranking, and progress:

  • Total score, correct answers, questions answered, sessions played
  • Current level and experience progress
  • Daily streaks and best streak
  • In-game coins and hint tokens
  • Achievements unlocked
  • List of questions you have answered
  • Ad-free status

c) App Preferences

We store your in-app settings locally and in the cloud, including sound, haptic feedback, notifications, theme selection, and display preferences.

d) Usage & Analytics

We use Firebase Analytics to collect anonymous usage data, including:

  • Screens you visit within the app
  • Game events (questions answered, sessions started/completed, level-ups, hints used)
  • Sign-in method (Google or guest)
  • Ad interactions (ad watched, coins earned)
  • In-app purchases (coin packs)

This data is linked to an anonymous user ID, not directly to your name or email.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information collected to:

  • Display your profile, score, and progress
  • Show your ranking on the global leaderboard
  • Send streak reminder notifications (if enabled)
  • Improve app features and fix issues
  • Serve relevant advertisements

3. Information Shared Publicly

If you opt into Google Sign-In, your display name, profile photo, score, level, and total questions answered are visible to other players on the public leaderboard. Guest users appear anonymously.

4. Advertising

We use Google AdMob to display advertisements. AdMob may collect and use data to serve personalized ads based on your interests. We present a consent prompt (required under GDPR and similar laws) before showing personalized ads.

You can remove all ads permanently through the in-app purchase option. Once ad-free status is activated, no ads are loaded or displayed.

5. Third-Party Services

Our app uses the following third-party services that may collect data independently:

6. Data Retention and Deletion

Your data is retained as long as your account is active. You can permanently delete your account and all associated data from within the app (Settings → Delete Account). This removes your Firebase account and all Firestore data, including your game history, profile, and preferences.

7. Children's Privacy

Our app does not knowingly collect personal information from children under the age of 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so we can delete it.

8. Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have the right to:

  • Access the personal data we hold about you
  • Request correction or deletion of your data
  • Opt out of personalized advertising (via the consent prompt in the app)

9. Security

We use industry-standard practices including Firebase's built-in security to protect your data. Access to Firestore data is controlled by security rules that restrict users to their own data.
